we operate on loose parts
what are loose parts? Loose parts are open-ended materials that can be used or manipulated in an infinite number of ways. These are objects that we, as adults, might assign a particular meaning or task to, such as bottle tops, spoons, or scarves. For young children, especially children under three years of age, these objects are high interest and spark creativity. They represent different textures, shapes, smells, colors, and sounds, appealing to all of the primary senses.

We are looking for objects that are not choking hazards (cannot fit down a cardboard paper towel tube) and do not have sharp edges that can’t be sanded down. we also happily accept cash donations for general expenses, or old toys we can either use or sell to support our programming.
Time for spring cleaning! Are you hoping to empty out that junk drawer, or get rid of stuff laying around the house? Let us help you! Gather all your loose parts, and let me know where/when I can pick them up! Ideas include, but are not limited to:
To keep our playgroup free for families, we are looking for donations of materials including loose parts. Additionally, if you would like to donate any toys you are no longer using, we would love to take them! Those items we cannot use will be sold to fund our playgroup.
